Where? The Austrian team will implement local dissemination activities in Vienna, Austria.

Why? To support the current local policy debate on higher labour market participation of women with children vs. the strong Austrian tradition of caring for children at home. To discuss how to handle/balance childcare and work/professional career with children of different ages, how others do it and discuss extensive female parental leave vs. life course concepts of work (and social security).

Warum? Ziel der Präsentation(en) und Veranstaltungen ist eine informierte Diskussion in der aktuellen Debatte zur höheren Arbeitsmarktaktivität von Frauen mit (Klein-)Kindern, welche im Gegensatz zur österreichischen Tradition der Selbstbetreuung von (Klein-)Kindern durch die Mutter steht. Weiters sollen die daraus Verteilung der Tages/Wochen/Lebenszeit auf die Bereiche Arbeit und Kinderbetreuung/Haushalt sowie Elternkarenz, Karriere und soziale Sicherheit diskutiert werden.

Whom to reach? (1) Through five events in Vienna (optional: other Austrian city): local NGOs, policy makers (middle/higher level), trade unions, labor representatives, regional organizations and services, companies. (2) Through mailing of material and policy briefs: local and Austrian NGOs, policy makers, trade unions, labour representatives, regional organizations and services, companies, etc. (3) Through press (e.g. newspapers): general public. (4) Through newsletter: all interested parties.

What will be disseminated?: We will disseminate research findings from the following projects:
Was wird präsentiert und diskutiert? Wir stellen Ergebnisse aus folgenden Projekten vor:

(1)	WORKCARE (2006-2009), a project on the social quality and changing relationships between work, care and welfare in Europe.
(2)	HWF (2000-2003), a project on households, work and flexibility.
(3)	MULTILINKS (2008-2011), a project on how demographic changes shape intergenerational solidarity, well-being and social integration.
(4)	MOCHO (2001-2004), a project on the rationale of motherhood choices, the influence of employment conditions and public policies.
(5)	IFAC (2006.2008), a project on empowering young women through learning for technical professions and science.
(6)	Meta-Analysis of Gender and Science Research (2008- ), a project studying segregation in research careers.
